Where Do Ideas Come From?

The world may be described as a network of constantly shifting relations, where things overlap, share edges, and sometimes even contain one another.

Could ideas be described in the same way, adding that they emerge without definitive and singular origin, coming instead from multiple directions during unpredictable or chance encounters?
