
This is a baby corn that was attached to the fully grown ear I selected from a local farmer. She detached the baby, opened its husk, and showed me that an individual silk was attached to each kernel. I did not know that is how it worked.
Below is what echinacea looks like in August in the U.S. Deep South. It has been “summer” here since late April – early May, and, as many are experiencing globally, the heat is fierce.
